Q&A with a free woman

A few weeks ago a house I staged sold for the asking price. A great win for me, but an even bigger win for my client Charlotte. It was a rollercoaster of a journey involving a relationship breakdown, Covid-19, offers promised but not made, and broken chains, but it all came good in the end and my client (and now friend) rose like a phoenix from the ashes of a life she needed to move on from.

Here's a quick Q&A about her experience of working with me.

Rachel: How did you feel after Rachel had got in touch with you to suggest staging your home?

Charlotte: I didn't really know what to expect. I was a little nervous.

Rachel: How did you feel during the process? Charlotte: Rachel was really helpful and made me feel at ease and really positive about the changes she had introduced. She was always available when I messaged and she was really helpful and supportive. Not just with the home staging, but she helped me to feel more relaxed and positive about the whole process.

Rachel: What about afterwards? Charlotte: After the photos had been redone and the house staged, Rachel kindly left all of the props that she had brought for the photos. She kept in touch with me and always made me feel at ease. Rachel really helped me to believe that I could 'do this' and I appreciate that so much. Rachel: Would you recommend home staging to other vendors? Charlotte: Definitely. I have never sold a house before and found myself in the position of having to do it on my own. I found the whole thing overwhelming and stressful. Rachel gave me direction and advice when I really needed it. She also made my house look awesome for the pictures. I wouldn't hesitate to ask Rachel to style my house if I find myself moving house again in the future.

Charlotte is now closing to moving into her new home and has even gifted me some of her cast off cushions to use for staging. I've been helping her with ideas for her new bedroom and we've just picked out new bedding so that she feels like she's making a completely fresh start and has a sanctuary to escape to that is all her own.

I really love my job!
